Research lab: On Levitation: Researching Qualities of Participation, 2015

Co-organised with Pedro Manuel and Inge Koks within the context of the summer academy We Live Here 2015. This was a three day event open to 2o makers from the field of theatre and performance and with invited guests: Arne Hendriks, Erik Hagoort, Eugene van Erven, Imanuel Schipper, Florian Malzacher, Edit Kaldor and the magician Ramana. The lab proposed a speculative exercise as key to researching participation, by working with the concept of ‘Levitation’. See here >>

Diogenes & Funes, 2011–2017

During the research process for my PhD and following from initial exploratory practices, I became interested in exploring miscommunication within a design process, and began researching how working miscommunication with intent could alter a design process. I was interested in how, by shifting perspectives, I could allow for a redrawing of practices. For this purpose I designed a workshop aimed at mapping the particularities and universals of a design project almost to the verge of nonsense, to the point of paralysed meaning. See here >>
